VORPOMMERN
2 books published by Gottingen in 1994. They contain old German records, maps, births, deaths, marraiges, of Waterstraats from 1645-1939 in Rugen, Strasund, Grimmen, Greifswald, Demmin, Anklam, Usedom-Wollin, Ueckermunde, and Pasewalk. The Waterstraats lived in most of these provinces before migrating to Rugen Island, and then immigraing to America.
An interesting highlight is the recording of the first marriage between the Martins, and the Waterstraats in Lucke in the 1700's. It was another later marraige of the Martins and the Waterstraats that gave Karl Waterstraat the money in 1890 to immigrate to America.

Title: Hoomothya's Long Journey 1865-1897 Subtitle: The True Story of a Yavapai Indian by Elaine Waterstraat This is a very good book by Elaine, and it is well written. It is the story of a young boy whos parents were murdered, and he was then raised by the whites, and then he returned to the indian way of life. Elaine Waterstraat did a good job on this book, and it should be in every Waterstraat's library.
