The ZANY PAGE!

Bob Zany, our favorite comedian, and neat items, places, and shows

Friday nites at the Comedy Castle were never better than when we went to see and got to talk to Bob Zany. Hear his broadcast on the web out of the Las Vegas radio station, and order his CD and video tape of a live performance. Baby!

Bob Zany - at the Comedy Club in Royal Oak, Michigan
Friday nites are for the Comedy Club!

Mr. B's
The place to go on Monday nites, with free horse carraige rides thru town in November

Gary Belanger
Gary has lots of stories to tell about the Waterstraats and of the Vietnam War, and of his return from Vietnam. Gary is a "big" guy and is doing quite well.

A nite to remember

February 11, Friday nite, at the Comedy Castle in Royal Oak, Bob Zany!!!
On January 14, we went to see Dan Grueter, then the big nite February 11, we saw Bob Zany.

We bought a video tape of Bob Zany's act, it was good, but an old show. We also bought some bumper stickers, and talked with him after the show while he was waiting in the bar to do his next show. We told Bob about us and asked him his advice: he said: "Give it time". She laughed so hard at the Zany show, she cried the entire time!

We saw the great Kozak on March 3, before going to the Alibi lounge, and apparently he used a little too dirty of language for the Waterstraat taste. However, he was a good majician, and I still dont know how he made that girls ring reappear inside an egg. Regardless, Friday nites were always fun at Mark Ridleys Comedy Castle.

John Bromfield - and the Detroit Sportsman's Show
This used to be our favorite special event each year. The Detroit Sportsman's Show, with John Bromfield. Here we saw acrobats, dogs, log climbers, the famous Ann Marston, Miss Michigan, and her talent in the Miss America show was archery! This was also the place where I wrestled Victor, the wrestling bear. A 600 pound grizzley bear!!!
It was like wrestling a car, he is 600 pounds of solid muscle. There is no way a human could pin the bear, unless he wanted you too. Every February we went to this show. A special Waterstraat gift/momento was a painting of 3 cats, with a red background, I also have a copy of it still to this day.
More places....
We will have to add more photos of other places we went, to see the Supremes(good thing Diana Ross started her tour in Detroit, because the tour was canceled after only 3 shows!!), the Beach Boys, Dwight Yoakam, the Dixie-Chicks, Sigfried and Roy, Wayne Newton, Burt Lance, Paula Poundstone, Terry Clark, etc.
